“My original insurance was Kemper, and, when Kemper utterly discontinued car insurance coverage, I was sent only a letter saying my insurance was being discontinued on such and such a date.
I had Kemper near 15 years and through several ownership transitions – point is, I had not “shopped” for car insurance in that long, and dreaded needing to do so with all the expectations and changes to costs and standards over time.
Enter APECS.
I filled out some form about car insurance on line, and I got a call from Carol that same night around 6pm. Now, I do understand that some may consider a 6pm business call out of form, but, it was only to let me know she looked over my form, and I was surprised that someone would follow up so late. I gave her the summary of my situation, and she said could give me a quote if I could give her my VIN and zip code.
From that point, I, not Carol, was responsible for a near 2hr conversation. First she was patient while I dug through old paperwork to find my VIN, then dig out my old Kemper quotes to compare what I had before, and then a swarm of questions regarding insurance coverage. The entire time, she was conversational, urged me to ask anything more, processed my quote every different way I asked to get a new total, and found ways to bring the premium down.
In the end, again, I, not Carol, was asking *her* about if she took referrals, as I willingly desired to tell others about the unbelievable level of service, kindness, and human connection she provided.
